“You know you’re obsessed, right?”
“Sure you can have the night off, but I’m worried about your judgement.”
I’ve heard it all when it comes to my love of New Kids on the Block. Is it corny? Probably. But that’s the entire point. I fell in love with them in Kindergarten and it wasn’t until 2008 when they reunited that I was able to see them live. In my day to day life, I keep track of hate crimes. I research ways to reduce hate in America. I teach about poverty, social inequality, and gender issues. My day to day life is heavy and daunting. Music has always been my escape, and New Kids on the Block define that. Say what you will about boy bands, but these guys are performers and the shows never disappoint.
My name has become synonymous with NKOTB, and I’m quite proud of that. My partner in crime, Shelly and I are already counting down to the next tour. We’ve met the entire band, twice. We even spent four days on a boat with them #NKOTBCruiseX.
